Rotating sunrays animation

In this flash animation tutorial you will see how to create a crazy rotating sunray animation, great to make simple advertising and banners, it definitely draws attention :-)

First you can load in what ever logo or object on to the stage, I just used a vector logo that I made for a web site not so long ago.

In the layers panel create a new empty layer beneath the logo layer we just made, its inhere we will make the animated sunray.

First we need to draw a spike or a triangle, with the pen tool click and make one like the one you can see below.

Now make some copies of it and rotate it along the center of the stage as shown below.

Select ALL the spikes, right click and choose convert to movie clip.

Now we will make it rotate, we just need it to rotate 360 degrees, then it will repeat the animation by it self.

So in the timeline create a new keyframe at frame 30 (depending on how fast you want it to rotate of cause).

In between frame 1 and 30, right click and choose motion tween, then at the bottom of the flash screen you should have a properties window for the motion tween, go there and set it like I did in the image below.

Now it should rotate 360 degrees clock wise, and we are done!.

I would like to contribute here please. If you notice the rotation of the sunrays here has a little hiccup (stops for a millisecond), this is because the position of the object "Symbol 1" the sunray in the first frame and the last frame is the same. So, acually it is not stopping for a millisecond, it is playing the same position twice. To overcome this problem, you can manually rotate the object in the last frame a little bit counter clockwise. This will make it rotate smoothly. It makes a big difference you know!
