Britney Spears colorful wallpaper

In this adobe photoshop tutorial we will be making a cool and colorful wallpaper, or at least an effect that could easily be used to make a wallpaper, like I did with this image of Britney Spears, look at how much more interesting the image looks with my effect.

First load the image of Britney Spear into photoshop, so now we are ready to apply this color effect.

With the rectangle shape tool draw a large rectangle on the stage as shown below, it should be the same height as the image, and 1/4 of the width.

In the layers panel make 3 more copies of the shape and drag them out to fill the whole image, then change the colors to green, blue and orange like I did.

Hold down control key and multi select all the four rectangle shape layers in the layers panel, then right click and choose merge layers.

Make sure the image of Britney Spears is just beneath the layer with our colored shapes, then select the shapes layer and change its blending mode to hue like I did.

Finally to make those white lines to separate the colors, just use the line tool with a white color and draw them on the stage.
