Awesome fire comet with sparkles

In this Photoshop tutorial we will make an awesome sparkling comet on fire, great tutorial to show you how to make sparkles and glow effects easy and within seconds.

First we will make the base of the comet, so select the brush tool make a soft big brush and click a few times at the same spot (in a separate layer) to make a shape like the one below.

First go to image -> adjustments -> color balance and drag some handles to change the white to a soft yellow like mine below

Now go to filter -> liquify and with the smudge tool, choose a big brush and drag out as shown below.

Now located the smudge tool in the toolbar, choose a funny custom brush and smudge/drag out randomly from the shape down as shown in the process below.

Go to the layers panel and double click the comet layer to get to the layers styles panel and give it settings as shown below.

Now we are done with the comet, and we will go make the small glowing sparkles surrounding the comet.

So select the brush tool and in the brush custom panel customize the brush as shown below.

Now you just need to draw out those sparkles in different colors, dont do to much, just some soft strokes.

The final touch will be to go to the styles panel for the sparkles and give it an outer glow effect as the one below..
