Dotted text effect with photoshop 

In this Photoshop text tutorial we will make a dotted glowing text effect in just a few easy steps.

First as we always do with text effect, start by typing in the text you want to apply this effect to.

Make sure to make a lot of spacing between letters to better fit the dots, also make a the font bold.

Hold down alt and click the text layer in the layers panel to load the text selection.

Then locate the path panel, its by default located and docked to the layers panel at your right side, in there click the make path icon as shown below.

You can now go back to layers and delete the text layer.

Make a new layer for the dots and go to the brush panel and give it settings as shown below.

In the path panel right click the path layer and choose "stroke path"

Also delete the path layer now.

In the layers panel double click our new layer containing the dots to get to the layers styles panel and give it settings as shown below.

Make a copy of the dotted layer and select the bottom one, then go to filter -> blur -> radial blur and give it these settings.

Double click the top text layer and give it a drop shadow style with default settings.

And we are done, we have made a funky glowing text effect with Photoshop.
