Image to drawing effect
In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial you will see how to turn an image in to a drawing effect.

First you need to load in the image you want to apply this effect to.

Now go to image -> adjustments -> desaturate to make the image black and white.
Then go to image -> adjustments -> brightness and contrast and bring up the contrast as shown in the image below.

Go to filters -> filter gallery and located the filter called "Photocopy" and give it settings as below.

Now you might see a lot of misplaced dark and light areas, this we are going to change manually in an very easy way.
With the dodge and burn tools, (lighten and darken colors) use a big soft brush and start bringing down some light and play around with it a bit as I did.

Now go to filters -> filter gallery and located the filter called "grain" and give it some grain effect. This will give the "paper" a more "rough" look.
This might give you a result with some colored pixels.

You can remove them by going to image -> adjustments and choose desaturate again.
