Funky text in Photoshop

In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial you will see how to make a funky retro text effect.

Start by typing in the text you want this effect applied to, find a big and bold font to get the best result.

Now in the layers panel right click the text layer and choose rasterize layer.

Go to the top menu filters -> filter gallery and locate the filter called "Film grain" and give it settings as shown below.

Again go to filters -> filter gallery and now located the filter called "Halftone pattern" and give it settings as shown.

In the layers panel double click the text layer to get to the layers styles panel and give it settings like so.

And you are done. Easy right?
