Bubbly text style

Last night a saw some cartoons on tv, and got a bit inspired to making some funny text style effect in Photoshop, so I came up with this bubble text effect.

So in this tutorial you will see how to make a funny bubbles text effect with Adobe Photoshop.

First we need to type in our text using the text tool, You can find some great cartoonish text fonts on the internet for free, or you can use one of the defaults in Photoshop, I used one called "Showcard Gothic".

Now select our text and open the tool called wrap text, to bend the text and make it look more interesting, (by default its located in the top menu bar). Then give it settings as shown below.

Now we will give our text some styles, so in the layers panel double click the text layer to open the styles panel and give it settings as shown below.

Now your text should look something like this.

In the layers panel right click the text layer and choose rasterize layer.

This next step is a bit tricky but try to follow anyway.

With the elliptical selection tool drag a small round selection on top of your text as I did below.

Still having the text layer selected, hold down ctrl and hit c (to copy selection) then hold down ctrl and hit v (to paste it again) this should be in a new layer of cause.

Now double click your new layer and give it settings as shown below.

In the layers panel hold down ctrl and click our new layer to load the selection again, then with the gradient tool, choose radial gradient and make a gradient going from white to transparent and drag in your selection from the center of where you want the small white area and a bit out (you might need to play with it a couple of times).

Now just copy the small bubble 20-30 times and scale it a bit down some times and place them different places within your text. (when you are done you can select all the bubbles layers, right click and choose merge layers to merge them into one).
